Full Day RetreatFull Bloom Sumptuous Soirée
A Day of Heart, Hearth, and Embodied Connection
June 13 | The Glowing Hearth in Gastonia, NC
What to ExpectA Full-day Retreat to Slow the Spin and Connect Within
As the earth approaches the summer solstice, the world around us begins to hum with life.
Gardens swell with color. Bees move lazily through wildflowers. The sun lingers long in the sky. Fruits begin to form on the vines. Everything seems to be reaching toward fullness.
In the midst of this abundance, we can often feel pulled into a sense of urgency and motion as the sun approaches its zenith and the solar energy pushes us towards action.
If we’re not careful, this energy can burn us out, so this full day experience at the Glowing Hearth is an invitation to sink in and nurture greater balance.
To slow down.
To root into the Earth.
To settle into the comfort of your body as you inner home.
The Full Bloom Sumptuous Soirée is a full-day retreat designed to reconnect us with the living relationship between heart, hearth, land, and one another. Through elemental movement, flower rituals, shared meals, and meaningful connection practices, we gather to celebrate what it means to be fully alive in our bodies and welcomed exactly as we are.

We know these are challenging times, and we don’t want to turn anyone away from this event for want of funds, so we have 3 spots reserved for individuals who want to come with a full commitment to attendance and willingness to support. Reach out to us directly, and we will work out an arrangement that feels mutually beneficial.
The Day's JourneyThroughout the day we will move between gentle introspection, playful exploration, restorative ritual, and heartfelt connection.
10:30-11am : Arrival
We take time to arrive slowly and with intention, settling in with the space and one another.
11am-1pm : Elemental Movement & Grounding Practices
We open our circle by attuning to the land and the elements through guided movement, somatic practices, and a journaling prompt designed to awaken the body and settle the nervous system.
Expect slow stretches, breath, laughter, and the quiet pleasure of simply being present with yourself.
1-2pm : Lunch Break
We will pause at midday to enjoy unstructured mealtime, a moment of quiet or easy conversation. Participants are responsible for bringing their own lunchtime provisions.
2-3:30pm : Flower Essence Crafting
Working with seasonal blossoms harvested from the land, we will create simple flower essences together.
This practice invites us to listen to the subtle language of plants and the wisdom of the blooming landscape around us.
3:30-6:30pm : Sensual Flower Bath Ritual & Connection Practices
In a guided ritual of sensory presence, flowers dipped and drawn along the skin become a quiet meditation in touch, scent, and sensation.
We will explore heart-centered relational practices designed to foster authentic connection while honoring personal autonomy, clarity, and consent.
You are always free to participate only in ways that feel nourishing for you.
6:30-8pm : Cookout & Campfire with Story & Song - Meal provided
As evening approaches we will gather around the campfire for a celebratory summer cookout.
We will provide nourishing seasonal fare, and as the fire crackles and twilight settles over the land, participants are warmly invited to share stories, songs, poems, or simply enjoy the warmth of the circle.
More than Memories
By the end of our day together, we hope you carry home more than simply memories.
You’ll walk away from this experience with…
A deeper sense of home within your own body
The calm clarity that comes from an internal system that has had time to soften and settle
Simple practices for reconnecting with earth, breath, and presence in everyday life
Your own handcrafted flower essence to continue working with the spirit of the season
The lingering sensory memory of petals, scent, warm water, and gentle ritual
New connections with kindred people who value authenticity, curiosity, and care
The nourishment of a shared meal and fireside circle
A renewed sense of play, pleasure, and aliveness
And perhaps most importantly:
A reminder that feeling safe, welcomed, and fully alive in your own skin is something you can return to again and again.
What's a Sumptuous Soirée anyway?A sumptuous soirée is simply a beautiful excuse to gather well. It is a celebration of the senses. An evening shaped by sensory pleasure, nourishing food, heartfelt connection, and the simple luxury of slowing down together.
At the Glowing Hearth, sumptuousness means savoring the season, the land, and one another in a way that feels relaxed, welcoming, and deeply alive. It is the pleasure of petals on skin, nourishing food shared among friends, laughter carried on summer air, and the quiet glow of a fire at day’s end.
A moment to savor life fully.
What We Mean by “Full Bloom”...Full bloom is about embodiment.
It is the feeling of inhabiting your body with ease and curiosity.
Of remembering your belonging to the land beneath your feet.
Of meeting others with openhearted presence.
It is the experience of feeling sumptuous within your own skin.
At the Glowing Hearth, we cultivate experiences where people can soften into that sense of inner home. A place where nervous systems settle, curiosity awakens, and connection unfolds naturally.
